Bubblz and her Clowning Maths
Bubblz the Maths Clown plays with maths. Her props are a little different to other maths performers....... she uses balloons and giant bubbles. The objective is for the children to realise that MATHS IS FUN! Without realising they are "doing" maths. Foundation, KS1 & KS2 (Nursery to year 6) are all covered, with a special performance for nursery.
Sessions are curriculum appropriate incorporate measurement, numbers, shapes and much thought. In many cases all areas are covered in one activity.
For a one day visit, there isn't usually time for more than 4 one hour sessions plus brief nursery visits, so years are often merged together, which is preferable to more 1/2 hour sessions. If there is time, an end of day school assembly can be provided for a brief fun magic show with a Maths bent.
If you would like Bubblz to attend your school for multiple days, then each class (or year) could have an hour dedicated to them.

I perform maths clowning. I interact with the students and teachers throughout the show to ensure greatest benefit. I am not a teacher, I am a Maths Clown and will behave accordingly!
